【摘要】:ThisEuropeanstandardspecifiestheconditions,apparatusandprocedurefordeterminingthedistributionoftensilestrengthandtensilestraintofailureofceramicfilamentsinmultifilamenttowsathightemperatureinair,vacuumoracontrolledinertatmosphere.ThispartofEN1007appliestotowsofcontinuousceramicfilaments,whichareassumedtoactfreelyandindependentlyunderloadingandbehavelinearlyelasticuptofailure.Twomethodsareproposeddependingonthetemperatureoftheendsofthetow:a)hotendmethod;NOTE1Theapplicationofthehotendmethodisrestrictedbyceramicglueswithsufficientshearstrengthsatthetesttemperature.Currentexperiencewiththistechniqueislimitedto1300°C,becauseofthemaximumapplicationtemperatureofceramicglues.b)coldendmethod.NOTE2Thecold-endmethodislimitedto1700°Cinairand2000°Cininertatmospherebecauseofthelimitsoffurnaces.Bothmethodsallowforafailurerateinthedeterminationofdistributionoftensilestrainandtensilestrength.
