【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversdoublesubmerged-arcwelded,black,plainendsteelpipeforuseintheconveyanceoffluidsunderpressure.PipeinsizesNPS16andlarger,asgiveninASMEB36.10,areincluded;pipehavingotherdimensions,inthissizerange,arepermitted,providedsuchpipecomplieswithallotherrequirementsofthisspecification.1.2Itisintendedthatpipebecapableofbeingweldedinthefieldwhenweldingproceduresinaccordancewiththerequirementsoftheapplicablepipelineconstructioncodeareused.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorinSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesineachsystemarenotexactequivalents,therefore,eachsystemistobeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarystatementpertainstothetestmethodportion,Section14ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
