【摘要】:Nailsareacommonmechanicalfastenerinwoodstructures.Engineeringdesignproceduresusedtodeterminethecapacitiesoflaterally-loadednailedconnectionscurrentlyuseayieldtheorytoestablishthenominalresistanceforlaterally-loadednailedconnectionsthatareengineered.Inordertodevelopthenominalresistanceforlaterally-loadednailedconnections,thebendingyieldmomentmustbeknown.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfordeterminingthebendingyieldmomentofnailswhensubjectedtostaticloading.Itisintendedonlyfornailsusedinengineeredconnectionapplications,inwhicharequiredconnectioncapacityisspecifiedbythedesigner.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
