【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulindeterminingtheassayofsolventsandthinnerswhichareestersorsolutionsofestersofcarboxylicacid.Theestervalueiscalculatedaspercentester.Thistestmethodhasitsgreatestapplicationwherethesolventorthinnerisnotapureester.Thistestmethodmaybeusedinassessingcompliancetospecification.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheestervalueofsolventsandthinnersusedinlacquersandothercoatings.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Forpurposesofdeterminingconformanceofanobservedoracalculatedvalueusingthistestmethodtorelevantspecifications,testresult(s)shallberoundedoff"tothenearestunit"inthelastright-handdigitusedinexpressingthespecificationlimit,inaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,see8.6.1.4Forhazardinformationandguidance,seethesupplier''sMaterialSafetyDataSheet.
