【摘要】:Inthedesignandoperationofreverseosmosisinstallations,itisimportanttopredictthecalciumcarbonatescalingpropertiesoftheconcentratestream.Becauseoftheincreaseintotaldissolvedsolidsintheconcentratestreamandthedifferenceinpassagesforcalciumion,bicarbonateion,andfreeCO2,thecalciumcarbonatescalingpropertiesoftheconcentratestreamwillgenerallybequitedifferentfromthoseofthefeedsolution.ThispracticepermitsthecalculationoftheLangelierSaturationIndexfortheconcentratestreamfromthefeedwateranalysesandthereverseosmosisoperatingparameters.ApositiveLangelierSaturationIndexindicatesthetendencytoformacalciumcarbonatescale,whichcanbedamagingtoreverseosmosisperformance.ThispracticegivesvariousproceduresfortheadjustmentoftheLangeliersaturationindex.ThetendencytoformCaCo3scalecanbesuppressedbytheadditionofantiscalentsorcrystalmodifiers.Suppliersofantisealentsandcrystalmodifierscanprovideinformationonthescaleinhibitionpeformanceofthesetypesofchemical.TheirusemaybeappropriateforreducingscaleformationinROsystems.TheROsystemsuppliershouldbeconsultedpriortotheuseofantisealentsandcrystalmodifierstoensuretheywillnothaveanegativeimpactontheROsystem.1.1ThispracticecoversthecalculationandadjustmentoftheLangeliersaturationindexfortheconcentratestreamofareverseosmosisdevice.Thisindexisusedtodeterminetheneedforcalciumcarbonatescalecontrolintheoperationanddesignofreverseosmosisinstallations.Thispracticeisapplicableforconcentratestreamscontainingxx10to10000mg/Loftotaldissolvedsolids.Forconcentratecontainingover10000mg/LseePracticeD4582.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
